Project Engineer/Asst. Project Manager (Stuart)
The Project Engineer or Asst. Project Manager is responsible for managing small size and assisting the project team on large size water and/or wastewater plant construction project(s). The specifics are as follows:
- Resourceful / problem solver
- Assisting the Project Team including the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Creating & Updating Project Budgets including cost control/coding and cost-to-complete projections.
- Creating & Updating Critical Path Schedules including Microsoft Project and/or P6.
- Compose Purchase Orders and Subcontracts including complete understanding of terms and conditions and scopes of work.
- Ability to form Construction Estimates including Change Orders.
- Enforcement of Project Safety and Quality Control policies.
- Take part in Project Meetings including Pre-Construction and Progress Meetings.
- A Beginners to Intermediate Level of comprehension of Contract Documents including; Specifications, Drawings, Submittals and RFIs.
- Good Written & Verbal Communication Skills with all project personnel, especially the Owner & Engineer.
- An Understanding of Microsoft Office software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree
- Approx. 0-5 years Water/Wastewater Plant Construction Experience
